Chef Steven Lewis has brought his extensive
experience in New York fine dining to the
breathtaking Jarabacoa valley in the
Dominican Republic.
Steven is a renowned chef who served four
years in the United States Coast Guard, and
then began his culinary career and attended
the Culinary Institute of America in New
York.
Steven has been a chef for over 30 years
including tenures at the World Trade Center
in New York City, Pebble Beach, and a
restaurant overlooking the Montery Bay in
California. Steven has also cooked for such
celebrities as: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis,
Mick Jagger, Vincent Price and Barbra
Streisand to name a few.
In June of 2009, Steven partnered with
Michael Ballantine of Jamaca de Dios to
continue his career at Aroma de la Monataña.
Steven's culinary expertise has now enriched
the Jarabacoa mountain valley, which has now
become one of the top getaways in the
country.

Steven specializes in all types of Cuisine
not limited to his great sushi. With enough
notice, Steven will make just about
anything, but Steven's true talent is making
his ever-changing delicious pastries and
desserts such as his expertise for cooking
with chocolate and his specialty, the
authentic “New York Cheesecake.” The
restaurant is a true quisquyan restaurant
touched by an American flair.
